Utilizing the Chromium framework developed by Google, Microsoft Edge is built to quickly work with many of the extensions you use daily while being touted as a better functioning browser than other applications using the same framework like Google Chrome.
While Internet Explorer might have been known for its customization, Microsoft sought out a different path when developing Microsoft Edge. When users open up Microsoft Edge for the first time, they will notice that they aren't getting the many tabs of options they were getting before. By doing this, users can get a browser that can handle modern websites better when dealing with system constraints.
