The bottom navigation keeps everyday options simple, with Home, Message, and Me tabs for monitoring, alerts, and settings.

One useful point is that DMSS can be used without an account, although some additional services require signing in. It also includes help resources and tutorial guidance, which is especially valuable for people moving from older surveillance tools or setting up remote monitoring for the first time. The app can save photos and videos from connected cameras, so it requests storage permission when first used.
