WPSApp is a free utility built around a very specific purpose: helping users inspect Wi-Fi networks through the WPS protocol. Instead of acting like a general connection manager, it focuses on whether a router’s WPS setup and PIN behavior could expose useful security information.

The app works by scanning nearby networks and checking them against eight-digit WPS PIN methods commonly associated with routers. It uses known PIN-generation algorithms to test the security level of a connection, and for some router types it may identify default keys or show the Wi-Fi password. That makes it most useful as a diagnostic tool for understanding whether a network may be vulnerable, especially if WPS is still enabled.

Its icon system keeps the results fairly easy to read. A red cross indicates a more secure result, with WPS disabled and no known default password. A green tick points to the opposite situation, where the network appears more exposed to WPS-based access. A question mark means WPS is enabled, but the PIN is not known. This simple visual approach helps non-expert users understand the scan without digging into technical details.

WPSApp can also scan devices on your network and analyze Wi-Fi channels, giving you a clearer view of connected devices and how channels are performing. This can be useful if you suspect someone else may be connected to your Wi-Fi, or if you often need to assess guest hotspots and public networks where you cannot access the router directly.

The main limitation is compatibility, as it does not work with every device system. It is also best viewed as a focused WPS checker rather than a complete security suite.
