It is not a glossy modern karaoke service with a built-in song catalog, but it gives you practical control over compatible files and keeps the experience easy to manage.

The program works with Karaoke files and several MIDI formats, including KAR, MID, MIDI, and RMI. Its interface is split into several separate windows, which may feel old-fashioned at first, but each part has a clear purpose. The Playlist window helps you locate supported files on your computer and arrange songs, while the Player window handles basic playback. The Viewer is the main screen for singers, showing lyrics and cues in a clear format.

One of the stronger points is customization. You can adjust the lyric display by changing fonts, colors, and backgrounds, which is useful if you are singing from across a room or using a second monitor. There are also skins if you want to change the look of the player. For more hands-on control, the Control window lets you modify tempo, key, and volume, making it easier to adapt a song to different voices or room setups. The MIDI Output window can remove specific instrument parts from a track, and the Piano window visually follows the music.

The main trade-off is audio quality. Because the experience depends heavily on MIDI-style backing tracks, songs can sound synthetic and less polished than professionally produced karaoke versions. You also need to provide your own compatible tracks, so building a useful song list may take time.
