ScreenTranslator is a focused Windows utility for turning visible English text on your screen into translated text without needing to retype it. It is designed for moments when text is locked inside an app, image, game window, document viewer, or any other open window where copying is inconvenient.

The program works through a simple capture workflow. It sits in the system tray rather than opening as a traditional full window. When you use a custom hotkey, you select the part of the screen you want to process by dragging over it. ScreenTranslator then uses OCR, powered by Tesseract, to detect the text in that selected area and sends the result for translation.

The translated output can appear in a small popup near the original text or as a notification from the system tray.
