Assassinations can be direct, quiet, elaborate, or almost accidental, depending on how much time you want to invest in planning. The Mastery system adds another reason to revisit missions, since experimenting with new methods helps unlock additional gear and options.

The presentation is also a major part of the appeal. Detailed environments, strong voice work, and a cinematic soundtrack help each mission feel distinct. The AI has been improved, making stealth feel more reactive, though some non-player character movements and interactions can still look a little rigid.

Hitman 3 does not radically change the formula established by the earlier games. For returning players, that familiarity may be either a benefit or a drawback. It refines the structure rather than replacing it. Players who own previous entries can also bring earlier locations into the broader trilogy experience, which makes it especially appealing for series fans.

There are a few practical limitations to consider. Progression tracking requires an online connection, which can be annoying for a mostly solo game. The VR mode adds novelty, but its controls and movement are less comfortable than the standard view.
