Keep priority windows always visible
DeskPins is a small Windows utility built around one very practical idea: letting you keep selected windows above everything else on your desktop. If you often lose a calculator, timer, calendar, chat window, or reference document behind larger apps, this tool gives you a simple way to keep the important item in view while you continue working.
The program works by “pinning” a window so it stays on top of other open applications. You can pin more than one window at a time, which makes it useful for multitasking setups where several small tools need to remain accessible. Removing a pin is just as straightforward, so you are not locked into a fixed layout once your priorities change.
DeskPins keeps its feature set focused. Its interface includes areas for managing pins, using Autopin options, and assigning hotkeys, so users who prefer keyboard shortcuts can make the process faster. The design is plain and old-fashioned, but that also helps keep the tool easy to understand. There is little here to learn, and non-technical users should be able to grasp the basic workflow quickly.
Its main limitation is that it does not let you arrange the order of pinned windows. If you pin several items, you cannot finely control their stacking priority. It is also not intended to be a complete desktop organization system. It solves one specific problem rather than offering advanced workspace management.
DeskPins is best suited for people who work with many overlapping windows and want a lightweight way to keep key information visible. It is especially handy for small utility windows that are easily covered by larger programs. If all you need is a simple always-on-top function, DeskPins remains a practical and reassuringly direct choice.
