Samsung Notes is a flexible productivity app for people who want more than a plain text pad. It lets you create written notes, record voice, add images, include music, and sketch directly on the page. That makes it useful for meeting reminders, class notes, quick ideas, visual plans, or any situation where typing alone is not enough.

The layout is built around a main note screen with clear tools for keyboard input, handwriting, drawing, images, and voice recordings. If you prefer writing by hand or drawing, Samsung Notes gives you pen and brush controls for type, size, and color. There is also an eraser for cleaning up handwriting and a selection tool that lets you choose part of your writing or drawing so it can be moved or adjusted.

Security is another practical touch. Individual notes can be locked with a password through the options menu, which is helpful for private lists, work details, or personal thoughts. Sharing is also supported, with saved notes available for social platforms and sketches shareable through PEN.UP.

For existing Samsung users, one of the strongest advantages is continuity. The app can import content from S Note and Memo using Smart Switch or a Samsung account, and Samsung Cloud support allows note data to sync when signed in.

The main limitation is discoverability. With so many creative tools, some pen options can feel hidden, so new users may need time to explore the menus. Still, Samsung Notes is a capable choice for anyone who wants a customizable note space that combines typing, handwriting, drawing, media, and basic privacy controls in one place.
