In this game, you'll play as one of the various Elemental Masters that each has different powers for you to try out. Players will use these Elemental Masters to defeat enemy characters that provide them with currency. The currency earned in-game can be used to unlock other characters or powerups that can help you in a time of need. If you end up not having the powerups you need or simply are close to beating a boss, you can also use your currency to continue a level off right where you died.
Overall, LEGO Ninjago has a simplistic flow in terms of gameplay but has the content to back it up. Some players will be distraught though due to how many opportunities the game presents you to purchase various items using real money.
