AppLock is designed to help users lock individual apps on their electronic devices. This app is mainly used to add an additional layer of security beyond the main password and other security features.
Once AppLock is installed on a smartphone, the owner of the phone will be lead to create a passcode for the overall AppLock application. The passcode can be a combination of letters and numbers with a limit of 16 characters. The consumer also has the availability to choose a unique pattern instead of a passcode. At this point, apps such as text messaging, incoming and outgoing (non-emergency) calls, music, and much more can be blocked. This app-locking feature also adds security to photos and videos which would require a password in order for them to be seen.
