It is a convenient idea for everyday browsing, though the feature is less flexible than it could be because it is closely tied to Microsoft’s own online services.

This can be handy for auction bids, stock values, weather updates, or other content that changes often but may not be available through a standard feed.
Privacy and safety are clear priorities in this version. InPrivate Browsing lets you browse without keeping local traces such as history, cookies, or temporary files after the session. SmartScreen Filter adds protection against fraudulent websites and phishing attempts, which makes IE 8 more reassuring for users who are cautious about online scams.
There are some trade-offs. Suggested Sites can recommend pages based on browsing history, which may be useful, but privacy-minded users may prefer to avoid it. Still, Internet Explorer 8 is a solid choice for Windows users who want a recognizable browser with stronger safety tools, broad website support, and a few helpful ways to access web information faster.
