Granny offers five difficulty levels: Practice, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme. This makes it more approachable for players who want to learn the layout before facing the full challenge, while still giving experienced horror fans a tougher option. The interactive setting also helps keep exploration meaningful, since even ordinary objects may become useful later.

The atmosphere is dark and deliberately unsettling, supported by creepy audio and a claustrophobic house design. It is a single-player game only, with no online or multiplayer mode. It is also not suitable for children due to violent scenes, frightening content, and intense chases.
