Because Windows limits how many entries can appear in a single context menu, the tool can separate icon packs into multiple menu entries. You can also rename those menu entries, which helps keep the choices clear if you use several icon sets.

In everyday use, Folder Painter is best for people who organize visually. Work folders, personal files, archives, and frequently used directories can be made more distinct at a glance. This does not add advanced file management features, but it can make navigation in Windows Explorer feel more practical.

There are a few trade-offs. The app is not built around a full traditional interface, so users expecting a large dashboard may find it minimal. It is also described as not totally portable, which may matter if you want tools that move cleanly between PCs.
