A playful dating sim where your home comes alive
Date Everything! is a single-player dating simulation game for Windows with a deliberately odd but charming premise: almost anything in your house can become someone to meet, talk to, and potentially romance. Instead of sending you to cafés, schools, or fantasy towns, it keeps the action inside your home and turns familiar objects into dateable characters through a magical pair of glasses called dateviators.
The setup is simple and easy to grasp. After losing your job to a faceless corporation using AI, you receive the mysterious glasses and begin seeing household items as fully realized personalities. A refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, cabinet, bookshelf, and many other objects can become conversation partners, each with their own tone, backstory, and relationship path. For each character, outcomes can lead toward romance, friendship, or even becoming enemies, which gives your choices a clear sense of direction.
One of the game’s biggest strengths is its scale. It includes hundreds of characters, thousands of voiced lines, and a colorful, cartoon-like art style that fits the surreal concept well. The fully acted dialogue, including performances from recognizable voice talent, helps make the unusual cast feel more expressive than a text-only dating sim might.
That abundance is also where some players may feel stretched. With so many characters and interactions, keeping track of everyone can become overwhelming. The interface can feel crowded, especially when the game is asking you to manage a large number of possible relationships. There are also occasional bugs that may interrupt the experience, so it is not always as tidy as its playful presentation suggests.
Date Everything! is best for players who enjoy experimental dating sims, character-heavy storytelling, and role-playing choices with a humorous edge. It is less suited to anyone who prefers a focused cast, a minimal interface, or a more traditional romance structure. Also note that it requires a 64-bit processor and operating system, so older 32-bit Windows setups are not supported.
