Genshin Impact is a free-to-play action RPG set in Teyvat, a large fantasy world built around exploration, quests, elemental powers, and character collecting. You play as a Traveler searching for a lost twin, with the option to choose the male or female version of the main character at the start.

The core appeal is its open-world structure. You travel through varied landscapes, solve environmental puzzles, fight enemies, and use elemental abilities to interact with the world. These powers are not just for combat. They can help you cross water, reach difficult areas, or trigger reactions in the environment. Battles are fast and flexible because you can form a party of up to four characters and switch between them to combine attacks, such as using water before an electric strike.
