Gallery is a photo and video file management, editing and viewer app. Although Android devices come with separate preloaded software provided by Google, users can enjoy quick-access to similar features in a third-party app that doesn't take up a lot of storage space.
The Gallery app has a clean, simple modern user interface that features both light and dark viewer modes. Photographs and videos that appear onscreen are bright and crisp. Users can search for and open files via a simple search field tool. They can review content as thumbnails on the main screen or individual selections. They can also reorganize the content in custom albums, collages and video collections.
Selecting an image in Gallery makes it possible for users to edit a selection with basic photo-editing options like crop, rotate, brightness, saturation and contrast. The app even has special effects to create memes and quotation-style photos. With videos, they can adjust, crop and trim their recordings. Additionally, they can add caption text and stickers. Users can then save under the same or new file names, review file details and share their content with others.
Although Gallery contains in-app advertisements, the editing features alone make this app worthwhile. It also has an app lock and a separate storage vault with password protection.
