This is a video game where you play as a rope-slinging superhero stopping criminals.

This game places you in the spandex attire of Rope Hero, a being given a super-versatile rope at the cost of developing amnesia. You use your rope powers to investigate the city and pursue missions that will slowly restore Rope Hero's identity, one memory at a time.

This game fully embraces the fact that it resembles a blend of "Spider-Man" and the "Grand Theft Auto" series of games, it just trades out the idea of using web-lines for a rope. The GTA comparisons come into play due to the presence of several vehicles that Rope Hero can commandeer. While the game does feature a storyline, the story is mostly just something to rationalize a particular mission. Rope Hero Vice Town cares more about mobility and action than any solid story.

While the overall story is nothing to write home about, this is an experience that offers plenty to people interested in open world action titles.

Pros: Rope-throwing feels good. Vehicular controls are great. Missions and side missions have lots of variety.

Cons: The physics engine can produce some real terrors. Graphics are simple. Dialogue is weak.
