This is a Spider-man video game in the form of an "endless runner."
As an endless runner, the entire goal is to see how far you can last while Spider-Man starts in one direction and keeps going further. Complicating this process is a variety of platforms and baddies that Spidey must either leap over or give a good beating to. To be precise, you have three different ways of acting as Spider-Man: shooting your webs, swinging from web-lines and smashing bad guys in the face.
This game actually features two modes of gameplay. "Survival mode" is your typical endless runner that has you seeing just how far you can go and how high you can score. "Story Mode" has you undergoing missions that are interspersed with bits of a comic book storyline. These sorts of missions entail knocking out a specific number of villains or collecting a certain amount of an item.
Much like any other endless runner, you can use a form of currency that you earn through missions and normal play and put it toward improving Spidey's abilities. Because this game remembers that it is a Spider-Man game, it gives you plenty of different costume options for missions.
